Teri tells me that our toaster oven died last night when she was cooking some dinner rolls in it.  That was discouraging, now we need a new toaster oven!  We use our toaster oven a lot – just being the two of us it is the perfect size to cook small meals without having to “fire up” the “big oven.”  I’m going to have to do some Internet research on toaster oven comparison to figure out which one I want to buy to replace this one.  Since we use it a lot, I want to make sure to get one with the all of the features that we need.

I was reading on the Time.com website that Nebraska Beef Ltd has issued another recall on their beef products for E-coli bacteria. This is disturbing to me because they had a recall just a short time ago for the same problem from the same plant. It is also disturbing to me because it affects the state that I live in, and the news story indicates that it may be impossible for me to determine if the beef that I have in my refrigerator came from that particular plant. I like ground beef, cooked medium. I don’t like it cooked well done – you might was well give me an old shoe to eat! In order to make sure that the E-coli bacteria is dead, you have to cook your meat well done. I don’t eat a lot of beef, it is a special treat when I eat it. I eat mostly chicken and pork, so when I get my hands on some beef, I want it cooked the way I like it! Very aggravating.
