Our office is going to have an annual retreat coming up in a few weeks and we have bought some Chicago Cubs rooftop tickets for an evening’s entertainment during the retreat.  I’m really looking forward to attending that event.  The rooftop tickets are to the Ivy League Baseball Club, which has its facility across the street from Wrigley Field.  The Ivy League Baseball Club rooftop was established in 1914, which makes it the very first Wrigley Field rooftop.  The Ivy League Baseball Club rooftop is endorsed by the Chicago Cubs.  The rooftop is located at the center of right field.  It is closer to the game’s action than a lot of the seats inside the stadium!  The Club boasts that its location has the best view of the game of any or the Wrigley Field rooftops.

The food items on the menu are classic ballgame menu items, so you don’t have to “miss” the great game junk food by going to a party on the Rooftop.   It has been recently renovated; I’m curious to see what they have done to it.  They accommodate from ten to two hundred guests on the rooftop.  I’m really looking forward to the event, it sounds like we’ll have a great time!

I enjoy watching sports with my friends when I get the chance.  One of the advantages of traveling as much as I do is that I get the chance to see a lot of different teams play in the different cities that I go to on business!  My girlfriends is NOT a big sports enthusiast, so when I go on a business trip without her I try to take in a game.  I love baseball, hockey, football, basketball!  I love the junk food at the stadiums, and I especially love those Dallas Cowgirl cheerleaders!

My girlfriend’s sister came to stay with my girlfriend this weekend while I trotted out to California for that trade show I was telling you about.  She had recently broken up with her boyfriend and is thinking about moving to our area and wanted to check out the city.  So my girlfriend spent the weekend showing her around.  When I got back I helped show her around a little bit too.  The conversation went in the direction of setting her up with new social contacts, and I suggested that she try the Internet for personals services for getting dates with single men or women as a way to meet new friends, along with joining some local churches or clubs.

I suggested that she check out the Prime Dating Sites website to get an idea of which personals service might be best for her.  That website reviews most of the leading, most popular personals services, such as Match.com, and Yahoo Personals, and eHarmony.com.  I know of at least one couple that met and married through the eHaromony.com website, so that’s a pretty good testimonial to that one!

The website reviews the different services, and provides links to all of the ones that it reviews, which makes it easy to get to the website that you think you might want to enroll in.  This is a valuable resource for singles that want to meet new dating partners!

i’ve been hearing a lot of news stories over the past couple of days, on television, and online about how the US taxpayer is paying to rebuild Iraq even though Iraq has billions of dollars in its own coffers that it could easily spend to rebuild itself. We have been “over there” longer than reason would dictate because Iraq seems to be unable to defend itself, yet we are the ones paying for it. It would seem logical to me that until Iraq DOES stand up for itself, that it should AT LEAST be paying our expenses for standing up FOR them. Especially since we are not getting any kind of price break on oil coming out of there!

This is an absurd situation. They don’t need our financial help, but we are spending money on having our troops over there and we are spending money rebuilding their country while our own roads and bridges deteriorate. There is something VERY WRONG with this picture!
