Technology in the Hospitality Industry
Filed under: Business and Office, Computers and/or Internet, Food, General Life, Shopping, Software, Technology, Travel; No CommentsI’ve done a lot of traveling in recent years. I’ve been noticing when I go to the different restaurants, hotels, and entertainment facilities that more and more of them are having updated technology for their POS systems. A lot of them are using touch screen technologies to assist the employees to process the customers’ orders. Many of them are using the Fedelta POS software package.
The Fedelta package is fast, easy to use, reliable and has a lot of features that makes it a popular choice in the hospitality industry as well as in supermarkets, retail stores, and delicatessens. The system is customizable and has a great backup system – if the server fails the terminal stores the data offline until the server comes back online. This feature allows business to continue as usual even if the server is down! That’s a great feature to have!

I was reading on the Time.com website about the suspect in a murder case in Canada is accused not only of murdering his victim, but also of beheading and cannibalizing his victim. In case you haven’t heard about it, it happened a few days ago on a Greyhound bus. The suspect is refusing to speak to prosecutors, or his own court appointed attorney. He has asked the judge in the case to “please kill me.”
I understand that Canada does not have the death penalty. In this case, I think that’s too bad.
